Concrete Foundations

Highlander has extensive experience with the installation of concrete foundations for ski lift and material tramway towers and terminals. Highlander is proficient at operating in the harshest, most difficult conditions and terrain. What others say is impossible is our normal. In environmentally sensitive areas, Highlander crew members have hiked sacks of concrete aggregate and buckets of water up the lift line in order to mix the concrete by hand at the site.  When unable to excavate with a conventional excavator due to steep, wet, or environmentally sensitive access or terrain, Highlander has used spider hoes (walking excavators) or excavated by hand with shovels (or, as we call it, the D1 method).
